Anderson Pump House celebrating 35 years of success

Feb 9, 2018 | 8:54 AM

Anderson Pump House has been in business since 1983 and is celebrating its 35th anniversary this year. Initially the business started out supplying water and sewage systems to farms and acreages. The company has grown, over the years, to include a wide range of water system products, systems and services that are sold to a diverse customer base across the entire province of Saskatchewan. With locations in North Battleford and Prince Albert, Anderson Pump House provides customers with one of the largest inventories of water systems materials in Saskatchewan.

In addition to a large and diverse inventory of products, the company’s expert staff have the experience and knowledge to help customers select the best products for their needs. They pride themselves on being able to help customers solve problems. They specialize in the design of pumping systems, water treatment systems, sewage systems and turf irrigation systems.

The majority of the sales of the company are through their dealer network.  Anderson Pump House supplies materials to water well drillers, trenching contractors, plumbing contractors, electrical contractors, and landscape irrigation contractors that are located across central and northern Saskatchewan.  Anderson Pump House is a big promoter of shopping locally and encourages customers to purchase from a local dealer. Excellent customer service, support and technical training have given Anderson Pump House a major advantage as a water system distributor.

Anderson Pump House believes that its greatest asset is its employees, and the owner, Howard Kirby, appreciates and respects all 48 of them. The feeling is mutual, and the company was named the Chamber of Commerce 2016 Battlefords Business Excellence award for Employer of the Year. Staff continually comment about what a great place Anderson Pump House is to work at. With very little staff turnover, the company has built up a wealth of knowledge and experience in its workforce, which contributes greatly to its business success.

Howard believes in giving back to the communities the company services, and supports local causes and organizations whenever possible. The company takes pride in its financial support of the CuPlex, Battlefords Trade and Education Centre, The Boys and Girls Club, and Battlefords Animal Shelter, to name a few of their favorite charities.

Howard says that with dedication to great customer service, commitment to continuous staff development and education, and the searching out of new products and vendors, the future looks bright.

Anderson Pump House is located in the industrial area of North Battleford at 9802 Thatcher Ave.
