Man with alleged mental health issues rescued from building

A man was rescued from the top of a building in North Battleford this afternoon, and has been taken to hospital for further evaluation.

At approximately 12:45 p.m., a Community Safety Officer noticed a man on top of the building at 100 St. and 11 Ave. Members of the RCMP, ambulance and fire were called in, and the street was closed down.

About an hour later, fire department members used an aerial ladder to reach the man, who was brought down without any further incident.

According to RCMP, the man will be taken to hospital for further mental health evaluation.
