Two raids net RCMP drugs and weapons

Friday the 13th proved unlucky for several people in North Battleford last week following a pair of search warrants.

In total nine people were arrested while weapons, drugs and cash were confiscated by Battlefords RCMP.

Around 2:30 p.m. on Friday, police executed a Criminal Code search warrant at a residence in the 700 block on 99 St. in North Battleford, which resulted in the seizure of a sawed off .22 calibre rifle, a shotgun, a pellet gun resembling an assault rifle, an extendable baton and a small quantity of cannabis, scales, and Canadian currency. Police also recovered a stolen vehicle from Alberta.

Four adults were arrested and are facing several weapons charges and offences related to the stolen automobile. Two small children were also removed from the residence and placed with family.
