Sep 18, 2017 | 2:28 PM

The Town of Battleford is moving ahead with a project to build a new multi-million dollar water pumphouse and reservoir for the Battleford’s West Park subdivision.

“This is going to increase their water access,” said Mayor Ames Leslie. “The pumphouse and reservoir will bring them better pressure and hopefully more sustainable water.”

Council approved the recommendation to hire local firm L.V. Schell Construction Management Services Ltd., based in North Battleford, which came in with the lowest bid at $1,837,188.

The town received 11 bids from companies across Saskatchewan and two from Alberta firms.
