RCMP seeking man who impersonated a peace officer

Battlefords RCMP are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a 30-year-old man from the Battleford area.

John George Joseph Bear is wanted in connection with an incident which occurred on Sept. 2 and is charged with assault causing bodily harm, assault, forcible confinement and uttering threats.

Witnesses also said John Bear tried to impersonate a police officer while committing the crime.

Police ask if you know of John Bear’s whereabouts do not approach him, but contact Battlefords RCMP or Crime Stoppers.
