NB Street Fest kicking off with premiere gala

Jul 18, 2017 | 10:00 AM

The fourth annual International Street Performer Festival is quickly approaching, and the Gold Eagle Casino will once again be kicking off the event with Premiere Night at the Event Centre.

According to Maggi Wilkinson, the special events chair at the Gold Eagle Casino, the gala event has evolved over the years.

At least 200 people are expected to attend this year.

“I think the word has spread, and [Premiere Night] has been growing every year,” Wilkinson said. “We’re excited that it’s going to be hosted at [the Event Centre] this year as a change in venue to spice it up a little bit.”

“[Attendees] can expect a night of great entertainment.”

Premiere Night provides those attending with a sneak preview of what type of performances can be expected throughout the weekend including jugglers, musicians and magicians.

The gala will also have a buffet-style dinner, other activities such as face painting, and prizes up for grabs.

Premiere Night is a 19+ event that takes place on Thursday, July 27; cocktails start at 5:30 p.m. and dinner is at 7 p.m. Tickets are $75 each.

The Street Performer Festival itself, however, begins July 28 at 4 p.m. until July 30 at 6 p.m., and will fill downtown North Battleford.

There is no admission fee to attend, and the festival will have no shortage of fun-filled activities for the whole family.
