UPDATE: Severe thunderstorm warning ended

As of 5:56 p.m. on Sunday, July 16, Environment Canada has ended tornado warnings for the following areas:

R.M. of Biggar including Biggar and Springwater.

R.M. of Grandview including Handel and Kelfield.

R.M. of Marriott south of Biggar.

R.M. of Corman Park including Martensville, Warman and Langham.

R.M. of Aberdeen including Aberdeen.

R.M. of Perdue including Perdue and Kinley.

However, severe thunderstorm warnings are still in effect for the for the R.M. of Vanscoy including Delisle, Asquith and Vanscoy, along with Corman Park including Martensville, Warman and Langham.

Environment Canada warns meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm capable of producing intense rainfall, nickel to ping pong ball sized hail and very strong winds.

It is advised that residents in the area remain indoors, and if threatening weather approaches to stay away from outside walls and windows.
