N.B. golfer finishes top-10 at provincial junior men’s championships
Going into the final round of the Junior Men’s Provincial Golf Championships in Swift Current on Wednesday morning, North Battleford’s Kristian Houk was within one stroke of qualifying for the national championships.
Unfortunately, he shot 8 over on the day but still finished tied for 10th out of 41 golfers.
According to Golf Saskatchewan, there are a total of four quota spots up for grabs for the Canadian Junior Men’s Golf Championships in Kingston, Ont. at the end of July, with the first three going to the top three finishers at provincials. The fourth place finisher at provincials is designated as an alternate.
Tayden Wallin of Humboldt came out on top at the Chinook Players Club in Swift Current after shooting a 2-under 70 on the final day to finish with a score of 214. Last year, he was tied for seventh.
