City will propose revised budget to council tonight

Apr 24, 2017 | 2:00 PM

It’s a big night for North Battleford city council as decisions have to be made to balance a nearly $2 million deficit due to cuts in the provincial budget.

Administration will present a revised budget with options of where to save funds. The city hasn’t released suggesting savings to the public yet. Based on what other municipalities have done there is a good chance property tax will be increased and an array of services will be cut.

BattlefordsNOW will have an update tonight after the meeting regarding the decisions and how they will impact residents.

The meeting begins at 8 p.m. and is open to the public for viewing purposes only.
