Teen who killed baby to be sentenced for escaping custody
A 16-year-old girl who killed a baby last summer was in Saskatoon Provincial Court Wednesday.
The girl, who can’t be named due to a court order, is to be sentenced in June for the second-degree murder of Nikosis Jace Cantre.
She had run off from Saskatoon’s Kilburn Hall Youth Centre in the days before Cantre’s death.
Wednesday’s hearing saw the girl plead guilty to escaping lawful custody.
