Stars pick up SJHL weekly honours

Two members of the Battleford North Stars have received SJHL weekly honours.

Forward Layne Young is the SJHL player of the week on the strength of his six point weekend which included three goals. Young has 20 goals and 29 helpers in 36 games for the first place Stars so far this season.

Meanwhile teammate MacGregor Sinclair won rookie of the week. His hat trick on Friday night against the Estevan Bruins earned him the honour. In 35 games this season the Irma Alberta product had six goals and 12 assists in his rookie campaign.
