N.B. woman charged with impaired driving

Battlefords RCMP arrested and charged a woman with impaired driving early on New Year’s Day.

According to a news release, police were patrolling the area of St. Laurent Dr. looking for an impaired driver that had been reported, when they located a different vehicle with an alleged impaired driver at 8:40 a.m. Jan. 1.

A 32-year-old woman was charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle. She was released, but will appear in North Battleford Provincial Court.

Also on Sunday, RCMP responded to complaints of gunshots in North Battleford. Police found people setting off fireworks at roughly 7 p.m.
