Cleveland Indians take Rogers Centre field wearing caps with Chief Wahoo logo
TORONTO — Unmoved by a human rights complaint, the Cleveland Indians took the Rogers Centre field Monday night wearing their Chief Wahoo logo caps for Game 3 of the American League Championship Series against the Blue Jays.
The Indians wore their Chief Wahoo cap as well for Games 1 and 2 in Cleveland. The starting pitcher — Trevor Bauer on Monday — chooses what headgear the team wears.
Cleveland, which has logo options, has worn the hat in all of its post-season games so far.
Just hours before first pitch Monday, an Ontario judge ruled that the Indians are allowed to use their full team name and logo in the playoff series with Toronto.
