Police seek witnesses after crash near Lashburn

Jun 21, 2016 | 11:59 AM

Police are looking for anyone who saw a Ford Mustang prior to a serious crash in Lashburn.

RCMP said the driver of a black 1986 Mustang was taken to the hospital after colliding with a semi Monday, June 20 at approximately 12:20 p.m. The crash left the car in the ditch, while debris forced the closure of Highway 16 for more than two hours. The driver wasn’t hurt.

The semi was pulling a tanker trailer, but police said there wasn’t a risk of a hazardous materials spill.

It’s believed the Mustang was headed west between Maidstone and Lashburn between 12:10 and 12:20 p.m. Anyone who saw the vehicle is asked to call the Maidstone RCMP detachment.
