Hotel construction set to start in August

North Battleford is open for business as new construction is set to begin late summer.

The city’s manager, James Puffalt said a Comfort Inn and Suites is slated for the empty lot behind the Frontier Centre at Carlton Tr. And Frontier Way.  

“We had some great meetings last week,” James Puffalt, North Battleford city manager said. “We talked to the hotel and the mall developers and it looks like construction will begin in August.”

Puffalt estimated it will take 18 months to complete.

“It’s a big job and it’s a fairly massive building. It’s also pretty cool because it will be more of an erection type process. Components will be built else were and then shipped here and put together. It’s going to be really cool to watch,” Puffalt said.
