They say Saskatchewan has two seasons: winter and construction. The second is now underway in North Battleford.

The city has released its schedule for the 2016 Capital Works and UPAR (Underground Pipeline and Asphalt Replacement) program. Work was underway on Monday with crews working on storm sewer repairs on 95th St. The repairs will be followed tomorrow with hydrant replacement at various locations around the city for the rest of the week.

Drivers are also asked to be aware of construction zones on 108th St. between 10th and 11th Ave. for water main replacement June 20 to 24, and sewer replacement and spot repairs on St. Laurent Dr. between Douglas and Pearson Ave. June 27 to 30.

Starting July 4 crews will spend nearly three weeks replacing water and sewer lines on 102nd St. from 16th to 17th Ave. This will be followed by 106th St, then 105th St., 96th St., and finally, for much of October, 97th St.
