Jun 1, 2016 | 7:32 AM

Hwy. 11 and Wanuskewin Rd. is part of your daily commute, watch out for some changes.

Starting June 1, drivers will no longer be allowed to cross Hwy. 11 from the Corman Industrial Park access road, Range Road 3052.

Left turns from Hwy. 11 into the park are also no longer allowed.

“It reduces the number of potential points where collisions could occur,” Doug Wakabayashi said with the Ministry of Highways.

“We will monitor as we go along to ensure we see the expected safety benefits actually happen.”

The province will work with the municipal government in the area to see what other changes are needed moving forward.

Most recently, a family of four was killed at the intersection of Hwy. 11 and Wanuskewin Rd. According to RCMP, a Jeep Wrangler tried crossing the highway, Jan. 3, when it collided with the Van de Vorst family’s car. The driver of the Jeep, 49-year-old Catherine Loye McKay, faces three counts of impaired driving causing death.
