RCMP responds to slew of stolen vehicles

Apr 27, 2016 | 6:00 AM

The Battlefords RCMP has recovered 11 of 12 stolen vehicles over the last 48 hours. The vehicles were stolen throughout the city and rural areas.

According to the RCMP, all vehicles were left unattended, unlocked, with the keys in the car. Most of the recovered cars were found either severely damaged or burnt. The RCMP is once again encouraging the public to lock up their belongings, not leave items of value laying around and remove all keys from inside of vehicles.

A black Chevrolet Suburban with Saskatchewan license plate 318 ISA remains outstanding. One male youth is in custody and charges are pending. The investigations remain ongoing.
