Charges laid after stabbing at Saulteaux First Nation

RCMP arrested a man following a stabbing on the Saulteaux First Nation.

Police were called to home on the reserve at roughly 10 p.m. on April 22, and found a man with multiple stab wounds to his upper body. He was taken to the Battlefords Union Hospital, then transferred to Royal University Hospital in Saskatoon. He was listed in stable condition.

The same night of the incident investigators arrested a 20-year-old man, who is scheduled to appear in court April 25 on charges of aggravated assault and possession of a dangerous weapon.

RCMP asked anyone with information of the incident to contact the Battlefords detachment.
