ELECTION 2016: Work ramps up for candidates in Sask. election

The writ has dropped and now Saskatchewan’s election campaign swings into high gear.

For several months, candidates from all parties have been behind the scenes, setting up offices and working with volunteers. Now, all of that work ramps up.

In Regina University constituency, at the office of Tina Beaudry-Mellor for the SaskParty, she’s amazed at the people willing to give up their time during a campaign.

“You can work as hard as you want to work, but when people get off work, change their clothes and come and door-knock with you for two hours, that is pretty tremendous.”
