CKBI’s Jack Cennon dies at age 93

The man who paved the way for radio broadcasters in Saskatchewan has passed away.

Jack Cennon was 93.

From 1936 to 1941 Cennon worked as a radio announcer with CFQC Saskatoon. After serving in WWII, Cennon moved to Prince Albert and hosted CKBI’s Wake Up, Shake Up show.

He would run the popular morning show program for 40 years.
